By Matt M. It caused a bit of a stir as it was a popular film, and a powerful and scary one, too, but it deviated massively from the original story at times and so the author was not overly happy or impressed with the finished film. The film certainly hits the mark when it comes to horror and terror and is filled with serious suspense throughout, and some genuinely creepy scenes. Jack Nicholson was absolutely perfect as Jack Torrance, the writer who takes watch of the Overlook Hotel throughout the winter period and who is slowly driven mad by the isolation. He is pure talent, but has gone quiet for a while now, we hope to see him back on our screens again soon!

I remember back when quarantine first started and I was a sweet, innocent, summer child who thought all this forced family togetherness would be nice. I know now how naive I was all those weeks ago because the way this would go down was in front of us all along. Because no, my friends, we are not the first humans to try this total isolation experiment. Jack Torrance showed us decades ago the hazards of a family spending months together all cooped up at home — I mean, shit went that badly and they had an entire hotel to escape each other in.

Fifty years later, not one of her 3 children, her dozen grandchildren or her numerous great grandchildren is an active member of the LDS church. I feel selfish to never be around but this is my dream so much so that I refuse to have children because I dont want my kids to have a workaholic mother who's never there. Can they keep a job and or clean up after themselves. She might not be keeping the Word of Wisdom, living according to the Law of Chastity, or attending church regularly. However, I believe there are rules set, and we receive certain blessings when we obey said rules.
